MIKE HART INVESTS IN HYLANT BUILDING; AGENCY PLANS MOVE TO DOWNTOWN

MAUMEE, Ohio, May 9, 2017 – Hart, a full-service marketing and advertising agency, is returning home to downtown Toledo, and the agency’s CEO will invest in the city’s revitalization.

Mike Hart will become an investor in the Hylant Building at 811 Madison. Joining members of the Hylant family, Mike Hart will become a partner in the building, which was built in 1960.

“I have always been proud to call Toledo my home and am excited for the opportunity to play a role in the redevelopment of our urban core,” said Mike Hart. “The Hylant Building is important to Toledo, and our agency is excited to make it our new home.”

By early 2018, Hart, Inc. will occupy two floors of 811 Madison. The agency will move all 60 of its Maumee employees to downtown Toledo, after completely renovating its new space in the Hylant Building.

While design work is just beginning, the vision includes a mixture of individual workspace and open, collaborative space to foster interaction among employees and clients. Following the design phase, construction is expected to take approximately six months.

The agency has experienced significant growth over the last six years, adding national brands to its client roster, expanding into the Columbus market and growing to about 80 employees (60 in Toledo, 20 in Columbus).

“As our agency evolves and expands, the needs for our work environment are changing with it,” said Marc Paulenich, COO and Senior VP of Strategy. “We were drawn to the opportunity to redesign and renovate two floors of the Hylant Building into a space that is uniquely ours, a space that better reflects who we are and how we operate.”

Hart conducted a building search throughout the metro area, but ultimately settled on the Hylant Building because of the employee amenities available at the location, the building’s design including natural light throughout the building, and Hart’s commitment to Toledo.

Having been located in downtown Toledo for half of the agency’s 50-plus-year history, prior to relocation to Maumee, the agency will now return to its roots and contribute to the redevelopment of downtown.

“This move is really Hart coming home,” said Mike Hart. “And doing so in a way that we hope furthers Toledo’s momentum in addition to our own.”
