HART

Continuing its investment in growth and talent, Hart names Scott Hauman VP of Strategy and Innovation and Dan Marvin a new Creative Director

Hart, an independent marketing and advertising agency delivering unified brand experiences that engage and empower consumers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Hauman as its new Vice President of Strategy and Innovation, and Dan Marvin as its new Creative Director. Following its acquisition of Washington, DC agency MDB in 2022, these two key hires fuel the firm’s continued growth and innovation and advance its creative and strategy offerings.

As VP of Strategy and Innovation, Hauman returns to Hart after more than two decades, where he formerly held the role of senior brand strategist. He will work to develop new strategy platforms for clients, expand Hart’s service lines and grow revenue streams through organic and prospect opportunities.

Most recently, Scott led Firebolt Group’s entry into the sports, retail and cannabis marketplace, spearheading the development of field marketing and branding programs as chief brand officer. Previously, Scott led innovation and IP development for The Integer Group, an Omnicom growth and retail agency, as their network-wide chief innovation officer and has developed strategy for brands such as Moët Hennessy, PepsiCo, AT&T, Exxon Mobil, Bosch, Coca-Cola, FedEx, Purina and Wells Fargo, and cofounded New Foundry, a pioneering innovation studio focused on startups and challenger brands.

Marvin, who will hold the role of Creative Director at Hart, joins with extensive experience in creative director and senior writing roles at Table, Commonwealth/McCann, Doner, GTB, GlobalHue and Havas, working on significant brands such as Jeep, EFFEN Vodka, JBL Audio and Chevy. Most notably, Marvin’s previous work includes putting Etch-A-Sketch squarely into the middle of a national political discussion through savvy social media work and introducing America to the apple pie hot dog as part of Chevy’s partnership with Major League Baseball.

“Hart’s mantra of 'Every Day Greater' is entrenched in how we advise and treat our clients, how we develop our talent, and how we continuously build for our future,” said Marc Paulenich, President of Hart. “As our new VP of Strategy and Innovation and our new Creative Director, Scott and Dan represent not only new leadership, but new ideas. We are thrilled to have them join our team and look forward to what we can create together.”
