The District 5 ADDY Competition recognized creative excellence in the field of advertising from 11 professional advertising associations and 18 college chapters throughout Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Entries that were considered above average in each district received a Silver ADDY.
Hart was awarded a Silver ADDY for its “Heritage” campaign for the Certified Angus Beef ® brand. This multi-platform campaign reinforced the strong sense of pride and commitment to quality that’s true to the brand’s heritage.
“It was important to make the ads feel authentic and rancher-focused,” said Randy Phipps, executive creative director at Hart. “The Heritage campaign really demonstrates quality, style and sophistication, while still showing some of that Americana ruggedness. The campaign effectively communicated the brand attributes to consumers seeking high-quality beef.”
There are 15 District ADDY competitions across the U.S., which are the second level of a three-tier system leading to the American Advertising Awards, a national competition honoring the finest creative in the country. A panel of three industry judges evaluated 474 pieces of work to determine the best advertising created in District 5 during the past year. The judges independently score each entry on a scale of 1-100 for designated criteria, then scores are averaged to give the work a final numerical ranking.
